I would like to send out an update and my personal
Thank you to All of You who contributed in some way to
the The Go Red Heart Health Tea was a beautiful success.
Ann Pasquinni with Cloud 9 Tea, who is The Singin'
Bean's Loose Tea provider gave us wonderful information
about the health benefits of different Teas and also had
lots of teas to taste and enjoy. The event earned
$290.00 for the Cause Against Heart Disease and Educated
All the Attendees about the subtle signs and dangers of
Heart Disease specifically in Women but men as well
learned many ways to increase awareness.
Helen Lusk (my mom) Created an
incredible educational powerpoint presentation on Heart
Disease that is available for review at The Singin'Bean
website on ourLive Laugh Love
Page The Food was magnificant thanks to my friend
and wonderful Nutritionist, Yoga Instructor and owner of
www.bytliskintherapies.com B'Tyli Natural Skin Care Lisa
Washington who knows more about taking care of the body
than anyone I know based on her struggles with Kidney
Disease and subsequent transplant. She offered many
healthy and delicious options to try from lowfat grape
and almond chicken salad, potato poppers an incredible
and healthy winesauce veggies and incredible dips,
bruchetta' and even dark chocolate covered
strawberries.
The food was wonderful and the door
prizes donated were amazing from vacation trips and
flower bouquets to pet sitting massages and gift
certificates and jewelry, see below the donations
sponsors and links to their websites. Melody Brown a
Nurse from Newnan Hospital took everyones blood pressure
and gave us information on where it should be for a our
heart health. Hand massages to wash away stress were
supplied by Connie Tiffany with Hands for Health and
pictures of all of use in our red outfits were taken by
Matt Adams with Matt Adams
Photography. These pictures here and more are
available for purchase at the proceeds from picture
sales will go toward the total given to the American
Heart Association and the Go Red for Women Campaign. As
many of you know the power decided to go out in the
entire city of
Lawrenceville that morning and we
were unable to start preparing any of the food until
about 10:30. The food portion was only a little delayed
thanks to the efforts from our of course, Lisa
Washington and Anne Pasquinni and our volunteers Traci
Smith with Pampered Chef, JoAnn Camp with Designs by
JoJo, Paula Brightwell with Melaleuca and Jennifer
Sobczak friend and previous Barista at the Singin' Bean.
Mike and Teal McKinney amazing friends to me and The
Singin' Bean, although they were guests jumped in to
help last minute with pictures and greeting folks at the
door and helping with the food. Everyone of
you have my deepest gratitude for your support and
help making this event such a beautiful, elegant, fun and
educational affair for such a good cause.
We even had amazing donations made
from secret benefactors as
well.
Thank You to those secret benefactors we appreciate
your willingness to give selflessly although you chose
to be anonymous.
